Gentlemen,
Consider this:
You send a Journeyman to do a simple underground service to a home. While there, he finds that he needs another 90 or an offset to go around some unforeseen pipes in the ground.
Now, he has to load up his tools and go to the Supply House. Roughly, this takes one hour over and one hour back (not to mention the time in the Supply House).
Said Journeyman makes about 20 dollars per hour.
This trip to the Supply House is not only wasting your gas, which has sky rocketed, but the fittings cost roughly 10 dollars.
Let’s do the math. This little unforeseen problem has cost you over 50 dollars.
Every small company that needs to watch their nickels and dimes, should have an ARC Bender on their truck. The big boys don't care because they have lots of extra money to throw around for unnecessary man hours, gas and pre-made bends.
